More than 5,700 recruited as civilian personnel in military
BEIJING, March 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese armed forces have recruited more than 5,700 civilian personnel in their latest major recruitment, the People's Liberation Army Daily reported Thursday.

Among the news.cn/en/tag/i0xngaj3163f76200c981b/index.html" target="_blank">new recruits, 91 percent have bachelor's degrees or higher, and 34 percent have a master's or Ph.D.
About half of them have work experience from previous jobs, such as in research, medical or public service institutions.
Launched in July, the recruitment attracted a large number of applicants from all walks of life and was carried out under full transparency, said the report.
