Blast, gunfire kill 16 in E. Afghanistan

JALALALABD, AFGHANISTAN, March 6 (Xinhua) -- AT least 16 people were confirmed dead and nine others injured as a blast followed by gun shoots rocked Jalalabad city, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province on Wedensday, local official ATtaullah Khogiani said.
