Suspicious packages found at airports, train station in London
The London Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command have launched an investigation into three suspicious packages containing explosives at several buildings in London on Tuesday, according to the local police.
The packages, all A4-sized white postal bags containing yellow Jiffy bags, were found at Heathrow Airport, London City Airport and Waterloo station.
No one was injured nor arrests have been made, said a statement by the Met Police.
The station was not evacuated and the train operation remains normal.
As a precaution, DLR services to London City Airport were suspended but are now fully operational. Flights to and from the airport have not been affected.
The Met Police has issued advice to transport hubs across London to be vigilant for and report suspicious packages to police.
