Death toll in express bus overturn rises to 11 on Myanmar's highway
YANGON, March. 5 (Xinhua) -- Three more people were killed in the Tuesday express bus overturn, bringing the death toll to 11 in total on Myanmar's Nay Pyi Taw-Yangon highway, the highway police told Xinhua.
The crash which occurred in early hours of Tuesday left some casualties including eight deaths on the spot and 22 injured.
With 42 passengers aboard, the High Class Express bus travelling from Kale town, Sagaing region to Yangon, crashed into the highway guardrails and overturned due to the flat tire near the milepost 77/3-77/4 on the highway at about 06:00 a.m. local time.
The express bus driver was filed a case for the negligent driving by the highway police.
